We had to make and pack our lunch for today! Also, pick your snacks! Lesson on making and drinking mate, all Argentinians drink! The almost 63 year old makes the leap! 62 year old leap! The color was amazing. We could hear the glaciers calving, but never saw them. By the time you heard the ice calving, it was already done! Lucero, the horse, walked slower than humans!  This horse took some management, according to John! Do not let it stop and eat!

We met our guides this morning at 8:30. This is the vehicle we will travel in for 3.5 hours to get to our first hike in Los Glaciares National Park. Our guides are Danny & Kelsey. We stop to take a picture of Fitz Roy and experience the WIND! We have this lodge all to ourselves! Hysteria Helsingfors. Here is their description: set in magical wooded grounds with panoramic views of Lake Viedma, Cerro Fitz Roy & the Andes.  We are treated to an authentic Patagonian lamb aside barbecue lunch.  We all loved the melted cheese dish in he iron skillet. Fried empanadas were a hit too, so much so, that the kitchen staff will be giving us a cooking lesson on Monday. Off we GO! Made it to WINDY POINT!!
